General Population: A term referring to your average gambler. Gen pop gamblers can come from any income range. The bets they place are often emotionally influenced due to factors such as loyalty, intoxication, and chasing losses.
Loyalty: Feeling an obligation to bet on your team, and/or being opposed to betting against your team.
Intoxication: Beer and football have a long relationship. Unfortunately for football / alcohol fans who gamble, being drunk does not improve your decision making, and makes most individuals more emotional. Emotions increase loyalty to your team, as well as increase the likelihood of chasing losses.
Chasing-Losses: Betting more aggressively when you have already lost money. Continuing to chase can lead to massive losses in a very short period of time.
